Subjects emulating emotion - Fluid

  1. Flow - Using water to show the “fluid” and also the movement of water through ripples and bubbles to show fluidity.

  2. Drip - Using a viscous liquid that will flow.

  3. Metamorphosis - Using the shape of the body and a flowy element to show the process of transformation which represents constant growth and change.

  4. Swirl - Using painted swirls on the body to represent smoothness and continuity elegantly while using slightly messy brush strokes for a more deconstructed feel.

  5. Breaking Free - Using cling wrap to “break through” to represent changes and growth.

Graphic Design

Here are some logos designed for a self-identity exercise.

Utilising the 3D function of Adobe Illustrator, I used the pen tool to trace a character with reference from the following artwork below (the artist is unknown), of which is used in a mock mobile game app for one of my studio projects.

Proceeding with the same studio project, one of the deliverables for the project was a PR kit, in this kit contained pendants, which were my group campaign’s distinctive symbols, which came with a single chain to be worn as necklaces.

I first traced and revamped the symbols, which were acquired from Pinterest, to make some of the symbols have a more boxy or square-ish look, on Adobe Illustrator. There were a total of 4 pendants, then exported as individual assets.

Revamped Symbols

Next, to make the pendants look more realistic, I imported the assets into Photoshop and input the following effects to them: Bevel & Emboss, Inner Shadow & Glow, and lastly, Drop Shadow.

Lastly, I had imported another image from the internet for the backdrop for the necklaces. I picked a backdrop that had already contained the chain for the pendants. I used the clone-stamping tool to erase the extra chain and make the backdrop more seamless. Afterwhich, I had added the edited pendants or assets onto the backdrop to showcase the plausible display of the pendants in the PR kit.
